Curtin University
Perth - Australia
Curtin University was established in 1986 after the Western Australian Institute of Technology was renamed and transformed into a university. The university is globally recognized for its strong industry connections, high-impact research, and wide range of innovative programs. It is also the largest and most culturally diverse university in the region, welcoming more than 52,000 students, with international students making up about one-third of that number. Curtin University is ranked among the top 500 universities in the world according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities, and it works to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to achieve excellence in their chosen fields. The university consists of four campuses: Bentley, Kalgoorlie, Perth, and Shenton Park, in addition to an international campus in Malaysia. The Perth campus is located in the heart of the central business district and primarily focuses on postgraduate business studies (GSB). The university’s location in this city is one of the main reasons students choose to study here, as Perth’s medium size makes it neither too large nor too small. It offers everything you would expect from a modern city—skyscrapers, major restaurants, museums, and art galleries—but in a balanced way, allowing you to explore the city center easily in one day, with most areas within walking distance. This makes it very suitable for students who spend most of their time busy with lectures and studying. The city also features a mild and sunny climate and offers waterfronts and beaches where you can go sailing, surfing, or swimming. It also includes many vintage shops, cafes, multicultural restaurants, and exciting events, all located within the city center.
