Selkirk College

Selkirk College is a public post-secondary institution founded in 1966 in the province of British Columbia, Canada, with its main campus located in the city of Castlegar. The college offers a wide range of academic and vocational programs, including diplomas, certificates, and associate degrees, as well as some programs that can transfer to a bachelor’s degree. It offers more than 60 nationally recognized programs in fields such as business, health, technology, hospitality, arts, environment, and vocational training. The college focuses on practical and applied learning to equip students with the skills needed in the job market. Selkirk College has campuses in several cities in the West Kootenay and Boundary regions in southern British Columbia, including Castlegar (the main campus), Nelson, Trail, and Grand Forks, along with learning centres in Kaslo, Nakusp, and others. The college has over a thousand regular students enrolled in various programs and provides opportunities for student activities, sports facilities, and access to local culture and arts. It also welcomes international students and offers support programs and educational pathways to help them study and adapt.
